We are Friend and Nucky (aka Ismael and Jeremiah), and we are known as the Varnish Doctors.
We specialise in making the wood on your boat – inside and out – beautiful.
We are best known for our varnishing, but we can also care for your teak deck, make your stainless steel shine and complete other boat-improvement tasks to a really high standard.
We are based in St Lucia, but it’s not uncommon for people to summon us to other islands or to the mainland USA to work our magic on their boat.
They call us the Varnish Doctors because varnish needs years of practice and expertise. It’s easy to mess up and you have to know what you’re doing, otherwise you can end up in a terrible mess.
We’ve been varnishing – carefully, lovingly, successfully – for decades. We love our work – and we think it shows.
